Stuff to know

First of all, I hope you really enjoyed the fun run yesterday. Mother Nature cooperated and we managed to go ahead as planned. Thanks to Beck-Cohen for the water and big thanks to PL Debby J. and her committee.

This is the last week before the race, so you'll want to be there. Our guests speakers this week are Race Director Cynthia Lorenzoni and Mark Lorenzoni. They will give you valuable information about what to expect on race day.

You should be getting your race confirmation in the mail. If you're doing personal sponsorships, you'll want to start reminding people to get their money to you.

We're planning a route this week that should keep you safely away from frantic parents moving kids into UVA. Traffic is definitely picking up, so give yourself a little extra time to get to the track.

I hope you've enjoyed yourself, made some new friends and feel a sense of accomplishment. Even if you are the person that finishes last, you are going to finish. That alone is so much cooler than not trying at all. I think I can speak for the Pinks when I say how proud we all are of you for taking that first step.

PL Deb

Thanks so much to all of the Pink Ladies! I couldn't have done this without you. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend this Saturday. Could you please post Saturday's info on the blog?

I want to thank everyone for such a wonderful program! I had a check-up yesterday and my doctor was impressed with my post-baby weight (have an 8-mo-old) and especially that my blood pressure is the lowest it's ever been!!! I really can't thank all of you enough for all your time and effort; this truly has made a difference in my overall fitness that I'm determined to maintain (alongside my new friends).

Thank you to the pink ladies and fellow trainees for making it such fun getting fit! This "not young" trainee--very gradually in twelve weeks--- has gone from doing 4 miles in 60 min to doing 4 miles in 46 min....all while meeting, laughing, groaning and yakking with new and "old" friends. It is safe to say that at least 1000 Ch'ville ladies now know where all the hills are located between The Park and The Chapel.
See you at the race!
...Sign me "not a 'pink lady' yet but already a healthier pink" :)

What a great web log. I spend hours on the net reading blogs, about tons of various subjects. I have to first of all give praise to whoever created your theme and second of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an fabulous article. I honestly believe there is a skill to writing articles that only very few posses and honestly you got it. The combining of demonstrative and upper-class content is by all odds super rare with the astronomic amount of blogs on the cyberspace.
