Race Registrations

If you were registered for the race, but are not able to run, we CANNOT encourage you to give your number to someone else. Some of the reasons are:
  • The waiver must be signed/acknowledged.
  • In a medical emergency the number is used for identification.
  • The number places the runner in the proper age group category. If an older woman gave her number to her 20 year old daughter, she may win the age group, which isn't fair to the women in that age group.

I know it sounds harsh, and we want as many people as possible to participate, but the risks are there, and we don't want to tarnish the event in any way.

Thanks.

Not sure if I'm supposed to post comments here, but I have a couple of questions about the race.

First, what should I eat for dinner on Friday? I've always heard pasta, but not sure if that's an old wive's tale?

Also, how many water stations will there be along the route? I'm used to carrying my own bottle, but am not sure if I'll need to do this during the race.

Thanks!

As Mark said on Saturday, we should stay off our feet as much as possible but still follow our normal routine on Friday. You should eat whatever you're used to eating on Friday at the same time you usually eat on Friday.
There will be 2 water stops during the race. The first is just past the 2 mile point and the second is at the end of mile 3/beginning of mile 4.
